Today's flash fiction #ArsonUponMagic

“Ticket please.”
St. Peter*

Submitted a new flash fiction I wrote today to a publisher. There's another story I want to submit to someone else but I just can't get a good title for it. So including the one for the blog and minus the title conundrum one that makes three stories finished today. Though the title conundrum one I started working on before the weekend. So today I finished editing it really.
      Anyway onto the flash fiction!

Arson Upon Magic

When the arsonist hit Merlin's home it was more than just a house coming to the ground. The wizard with a grudge against Merlin unleashed a catastrophe by burning down his home. When Merlin's walls came down they crashed into the urns he sealed demons in. Merlin's dragon went into a rampage after being struck by flame and rubble. And the dragon was only one of Merlin's many pets in house. Which was more of a mansion. A place bigger on the inside than the outside a phenomenon created by an incredible powerful spell. A spell broken by the fire. So Merlin's dragon and his other pets, like the griffon and so many others, rampaged out of house as its impossible geometry spat out into the normal world. The impossible geometry unleashed made it so that the phenomenon of Merlin's house extended to the world. Every house's interior became an expanded world the furniture gigantic to accommodate it. Only the door was human size and became more like a mouse hole.
Merlin came back from a journey to another world to see the damage the arsonist had done. It would be difficult for him to solve this problem. Especially since he destroyed the library of all the spell books he stored at this house. Powerful spells were in those books. They could have easily fixed the problem as soon as Merlin read the old languages in them. But now they were ash in the home. So the world would have to live in chaos as he figured out how to fix the damage the arsonist had done on his own.
Though Merlin did not have difficulty using his magic to find the arsonist and turning him into a toad.
