Today I'll be
trying to call CJ to invite him over for the weekend, hopefully I
reach 'em. I may work with my father on my costume armor as well.
(Sanding down the plastic and such to be all smooth). Anyway onto the
flashfiction!
The One
Bracelet To Obey Them All
A long time ago
in the mythical land of Middle Mars existed many magical bracelets
with incredible magical power that people sought so much that they
waged war over them. And one bracelet that people regarded as largely
useless.
This bracelet
forced the wearer to obey the commands of anyone. However a catch
existed that it couldn't be forced onto anyone in anyway. Hold a
hostage to get them to put in it on? The magic wouldn't work. People
regarded it as a pointless thing. If it had to be put on willingly,
wouldn't you obey the orders anyway? Its only value became a display
piece as one of the magical bracelets in a magical museum.
Which is why
the wizards running that museum were shocked when the item vanished
from the display case one day. Who would steal that item and nothing
else? So many other more valuable, more powerful items lay in the
cases right around it.
The answer
would be a timid goblin with ambition he wished to unlock. Willpower
he wished to unlock. When he arrived home he put the bracelet on.
He looked at
the bracelet and said, “Bracelet. You force people to obey and
execute orders without fail. Then use your magic to give me the
willpower to get me and all other goblins what we deserve.” He
pulled out a mirror and looked at himself. He gave himself an order
so that the bracelet would force him to obey. “Conquer the world.”
He then removed the bracelet and hid it away before heading out to
gather his fellow goblins.
