Today's #flashfiction #TheFiveMurdersOfHughLee

“15 minutes can save you 15 percent or more on your car insurance.”
Andy Warhol* #quote

Went to the bookstore with Dad and got me a comic book today. A rather large Deadpool one. He's an insane superhero owned by them Marvel people. The comic even had Wolverine in it! Everything is better with Wolverine! Too bad DC Comics doesn't make crossover comics with Marvel right now. I would have liked Batman to be in there, because well, Batman. He doesn't even have to do much. Batman could just stand around, and be like “I'm Batman”. That'd do fine. He could give all the heroes mints. Come on, he's got to have those in his utility belt right?
       Anyway onto the flash fiction!

The Five Murders Of Hugh Lee

The first murder of Hugh Lee involved an affair with his wife poisoning him for his betrayal at the end.  The second murder of Hugh Lee was a stabbing in the middle of a gang war. The third murder of Hugh Lee had the detectives finding him beaten to death in an alleyway, they needed forensics to help identify him as his face was too disfigured to just find out from looking. The motive for that murder could only be explained as the insanity of a serial killer. The fourth murder of Hugh Lee led to him being a seemingly ordinary man sniped by a professional hitman, but the trail all led into embezzlement and politics beyond his first impression. The fifth murder of Hugh Lee was the most baffling, it took a lot of deduction on the police's part to figure out how two halves of a man's body winded up on different sides of New York City.
After five murders of Hugh Lee the police department was forced to shut him down and reboot him. Hugh Lee trained them well by dying so many times on their behalf. He was an ingenious invention. When one police officer saw the birth of advanced artificial intelligences in virtual worlds he decided to apply it to train his forces and so Hugh Lee was born. An artificial intelligence to live and be murdered so the police may train themselves by solving the virtual crime. It did not take long for other police stations to copy the Hugh Lee program...
